BASIC LIFE SUPPORT CPR – $60

This is an American Heart Association-approved course and is specific to the health care provider. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the ability to perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, apply the AHA Chain of Survival (specifically the BLS components), recognize the importance of early use of an AED, perform effective ventilations using a barrier device, work as a team in multirescuer resuscitation and CPR, and relieve foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants. This is one of the most common BLS certifications accepted by employers in Utah.

If you do not work in health care, but need CPR/CPR + First Aid training, the appropriate course is the Heartsaver First Aid & CPR course.

The BLS course is 4 hours long. Graduates will receive an American Heart Association eCard that expires after two years. BLS eCards are emailed to the email address supplied at registration within 7 business days after the class and will come from eCards@heart.org.

EMT Utah also offers skills testing-only sessions for students who do the training online via the AHA website and need an in-person skills testing session.

Students enrolled in a current EMT or AEMT program at EMT Utah or a CNA program with Utah CNA Centers will enjoy a discount of $15. To redeem this discount, you must enter the coupon code that is emailed to you when you complete registration for an EMT, AEMT, or CNA Course on the checkout screen for this course.
