BASIC LIFE SUPPORT CPR – $60
This is an American Heart Association-approved course and is specific to the health care provider. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This is one of the most common BLS certifications accepted by employers in Utah.
If you do not work in health care, but need CPR/CPR + First Aid training, the appropriate course is the Heartsaver First Aid & CPR course.
The BLS course is 4 hours long. Graduates will receive an American Heart Association e-card that expires after two years. E-cards are emailed to the email address supplied at registration within 7 business days after the class.
EMT Utah also offers skills testing-only sessions for students who do the training online via the AHA website and need an in-person skills testing session.
Students enrolled in a current EMT or AEMT program at EMT Utah or a CNA program with Utah CNA Centers will enjoy a discount of $15. To redeem this discount, you must enter the coupon code that is emailed to you when you complete registration for an EMT, AEMT, or CNA Course on the checkout screen for this course.
A face mask will be required while you are on campus for our BLS course. You must bring your own mask, as EMT Utah will not provide them.
