EMT Utah offers a variety of options for obtaining your CME hours including online and in-person courses.

Utah’s EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic providers are required to obtain Continuing Medical Education (CME) every two years in order to recertify. The number and type of hours each provider needs depend upon their license level. If you have questions related specifically to your license, expiration date, or recertification requirements, we encourage you to reach out to the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness (BEMSP) by phone at (801) 273-6666, by email at ems@utah.gov, or by visiting their website at bemsp.utah.gov.

If you are unsure what hours you need or have general questions about the recertification process, check out one of our recertification guides:
